Fond du Lac is a dense limestone in creamy buff and warm khaki-gray, with deeper ash pieces scattered through for contrast. Its ashlar lays in long, low courses, the light stones carrying the warmth while the dark ones keep the wall from going soft. Random mosaic paving and stair treads bring it underfoot and up the steps.
