Byron is limestone in buffs and tans drifting through soft gray, with the seams and shell traces of its bedding written plainly on the face. Its ashlar comes in naturally varied heights, so a wall lays up relaxed, as if it settled into place over years. Split faces keep it loose, sawn and honed faces tailor it, and it comes thin or full.
