The Living Material

Black Pearl earns its name in the evening. Through the middle of the day it reads as a dark, textured facade. As the light drops and comes in low, the silver-blue and the crystal in the stone start to pick it up, and the fractures throw shadow across each other. It suits mountain contemporary work, where a facade is meant to look substantial without looking heavy.
